Once I completed Bachelor degrees in Sociology and Studio Art from the University of Colorado, Boulder, I began my graduate studies in architecture design at the University of Illinois, Champaign/Urbana. Learning to balance artistic creativity with analytical thought, I earned a Master of Architecture upon the presentation of my thesis, the EPOS Planetarium with café, galleries and auditorium.
Following graduation, I continued my association with the San Francisco Bay Area firm that I had interned with during the summers while at graduate school. Prior to the founding of DKS in Boulder, I practiced architecture in a number of the western states and worked in offices whose projects achieved professional recognition, awards
and publication.
DKS was founded in 1999 upon my relocation to Boulder. In conjunction with my office projects during the year 2000, I was a design instructor at the College of Architecture and Planning, University of Colorado at Boulder.
